The Caddie Program at Olympia Fields
We take great pride in our caddies and our Caddie Training Program.
Olympia Fields Country Club has a storied history of working closely with the Western Golf Association and Evans Scholars Foundation. Historically, we have over 160 Evan Scholars Alumni, and we have hosted the Western Open/BMW Championship six times (seven after 2023), helping to raise money for the Foundation. It is clear that the Evans Scholars Foundation has impacted OFCC. Its members would like to thank all the caddies who have dedicated themselves over the years, making our program one to be proud of. Just in the past 20 years, 57 caddies from OFCC have been awarded the prestigious Evans Scholarship, and the caddie program at Olympia Fields Country Club continues to grow under the leadership of Jim Salvatori & David Medina.

About the Evans Scholars Scholarship
The Evans Scholars Foundation was started by Chicago golfer Charles E. “Chick” Evans. Since 1930 the Foundation has provided college educations for almost 9,000 caddies and made scholarship tuition payments in excess of $100 million. It is one of the nation’s largest privately funded scholarship programs and one of the best examples of the game of golf giving back to the community. Caddies who earn an Evans Scholarship will receive a fully funded education, including room and board, at one of the 14 universities where the Foundation owns and operates a Scholarship House.
